📷This week we explored 'Iterative model making'. Iterative is another term for frequentative, which means to frequently or intensely repeat an action, which happened to be model making.

This exercise was fast-paced and fun, we all brought in materials which matched our seminar theme. My group's theme was violet, so we all brought a multitude of different violets and purples in different finishes as well as complimentary colours like yellows and golds, and harmonious colours such as blues and reds.

We individually created 25 models and followed a grid which meant the initial 3 models guided the making of the rest. I am pleased with the variety in my models in that no two look the same and I am able to used some in our seminar to display different uses of the colour violet and how light, shadow and movement can affect it's use.

I also produced drawings for some of my models which show an abstract representation of what my models portray and how I see them and how light works with the shape of the model.

My favourite part about this process is my discovery of golds and coppers in cohesion with purple, and how striking they look together, as copper is orange and gold is yellow, this made me understand how to use complimentary colours effectively to create a bold effect.
