The colour Violet is rarely used in architecture and design because of it's royal 'boldness'. However when used properly and in conjunction with complimentary or analogous colours it can create a harmonious, delightful space.

Myself, Silvia, Miew, Caitlin and Linh performed a seminar this week all about the use of Violets and Purples in design, art and architecture over time. We explored its origins, famous uses, and spectacular displays in building and installation design. Our seminar also discussed how it should be used in terms of interior design, certain hues, shades, tints and tones which can work with interior spaces well and with its complimentary colour yellow.

We presented our findings on the spectacular colour Violet as well as our resources on the presentation linked above.
