Temporal: of or relating to time as opposed to eternity

Through material use and construction methods, I aimed for my space to have a definitive sense of temporality with a finite nature. The pavilion is a fleeting addition to the ubran environment and I wanted this ephemerality to be obvious as the design unravels over a three month period, before being packed down and disappearing.
The unhemmed raw edges of the silk begin to unravel as the weeks pass, fraying, disintegrating and deteriorating. As the the space blossoms and builds bonds between people and communities, the materials break down, expressing the mortality of the temporary changing structures.
