I wanted the studio space to be transitional as well as it merges the space from interior to exterior, therefore this space has a platform raised up 2 steps, which extends far into the the exterior space to join the two. I have chosen to use pivot doors in this space and these allow for as much flow and light in to the space as possible, by pivoting in the centre they are able to turn 360 degrees and can also be slid along the rails to completely remove them from view. allowing this transitional space to flow and be experiential internally and externally.

I chose to have very little going on in this space as I think a studio space should be personalised and adapted to the likes of the user, each artist is unique and I wanted them to have a say in how they use their studio space, and whether they even use this space as a studio.
