Stairwell Design

My staircase was one of the first aspects of the house that I designed. I knew my colour scheme by the time I had finalised this design, however added elements as I directed the rest of the spaces.
The stairwell features my two strongest colours, the teal, and orange, with hints of yellow on the inside of the window frames adjoining the interior of the apartment.
I chose to use reflective surfaces once again in this space to make it flow with the rest of the house, and also to juxtapose with the yellow circles on the stairs. These yellow blob-like circles are squishy and rubbery, in a circular shape they warp around the form of the rise on the stairs, and are randomly placed up the stairwell as an invitation to follow.
I made them yellow in order to relate to the yellow window frames, and other minor delicate yellow aspects across the house. After creating the brass mesh-like wall for my entryway, I decided to utilise it here as well, In order to split the stairs in to two unique experiences either side, and I feel as if this is my way of flipping the horizon vertically, where the blue represents earth (or the ocean in my narrative) and the orange the sunset sky, converting the horizon to the vertical.📷📷
