This space was designed early on in my design process, shortly after the stairwell, this is clear as I have stuck a the similar scheme. I have utilised this coral orange colour as a bold contrast to the teal cabinetry, and the orange extends out in to the studio space where if forms a curvature shape.

The herringbone wooden cabinetry used here is the same material used in the lounge feature wall to create a continuous flow of colour and material. These are seamless with push-to-open function to limit the amount of obstruction on the beautiful material.

The orange in this produces more than one shade due to the harsh shadows caused by the bright commercial, gallery like lighting, and this is reflected throughout the rest of the house through the use of form and depth of materials.

I have chosen a brass mesh to cover the display cabinet, this can be slid along to reveal or enclose the contents, I chose this as it is composed of the same material as my mesh semicircle wall which features in the entry and the stair well. The brass works really beautifully against the teal, and coincides with my door-handle use on the pantry, the mesh structure also casts really interesting shadows when slid over the cabinetry space.📷📷📷
