I spent the first part of this week building up a colour scheme. I went to mitre 10 and spent over an hour considering combinations that work well together and that I could build a narrative from. I considered personalising my narrative by relating the landscape concept to my home (Mount Maunganui) and considered the colours of a sunset along the beach, I spread out blues and greens next to each other and decided on more jewel tone, deeper colours, as they best represented the ocean and would contrast better with lighter and brighter colours.

I then chose yellow and orange as a transitional sunset sky, I found certain shades which I loved the combination of and started making. I created short and fast text models and fixtures, and experimented with them inside my 1:50 model of the space. Utilising my relevant colours I built some nice constructions which showcase how light and shadows can cast different shades of the base colour, which was something I found really intriguing.
